SINCE 1992

For more than 25 years, we have given back the smiles to 17,000 street children. Our efforts are focused on more sustainable programs for marginalized families to prevent the cycle of intergenerational poverty.

COMMUNITY

Our community-based programs work to prevent children and youth from being at risk or in conflict with the law.

STREET

Empower children, youth, and families to break free from the streets.

RESIDENTIAL

Children and youth who are at risk are placed and raised in age-age-appropriate homes with a family-oriented environment that fosters a sense of belonging and identity.

HEALTH

Our medical and health programs help children and youth thrive in their physical development.

EDUCATION

The children and youth in our care are sent to schools to give them a competitive advantage in securing their future.

INTEGRATION

We work to reunite children and youth with their families, or shepherd their integration into society.

For Virlanie, inclusive education is about ensuring equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for the vulnerable, including persons with disabilities and children in vulnerable situations. Virlanie recognizes children’s differences in terms of learning abilities, which were deeply affected by their diverse and difficult backgrounds.

Virlanie Foundation is a private, non-profit organization reaching out to street children in the Philippines. Virlanie cares for children in need of special protection—those who are abandoned, abused, exploited, neglected, orphaned, and among the poorest of the poor.
