Air Liquide gave school supplies at the beginning of the school year

On the 10th of June, the long-time partner of Virlanie, Air Liquide Philippines , made an in-kind donation for the beginning of the school year (notebooks, pens, scissors, glue, pens, pencils among others.)

Air Liquide, through its entities worldwide and through Air Liquide Foundation, supports several projects in every country it operates in.

All the school supplies  were then redistributed to the three programs of the education pillar:

  • The Magellan Learning Center (MLC) prepares the children of the residential program to enter or resume formal schooling, then provides tutorial and motivational support to enable them to cope with academic requirements, balance their learning delays, and build their self-confidence.
  • The Special Education (SPED) and Rehabilitation Program aims to improve cognitive and occupational abilities of children and youth with special needs and develop their sense of responsibility.
  • The Sining, Buhay, Hilom Center for Creativity (SiBuHi) serves as an avenue for children and youth to express themselves and build their confidence through extracurricular activities.

In its efforts to support environment, health, education and local development, Air Liquide has helped Virlanie through numerous and important projects for the betterment of the life of the children in street situations.

Among others, Air Liquide funded Mobile Unit, a Street Pillar project which provides street education and legal and counseling services in the streets of Metro Manila, as well as the Dental clinic of Virlanie that treated more than 2000 persons in 2018.

Once again, our children express our deep thanks to the everlasting support of the Air Liquide foundation on the programs we implement to give back the smile to street children.
