Who We Are

Virlanie Foundation, Inc. is a private, non-profit and non-sectarian organization reaching out to marginalized children and communities in the Philippines.

Virlanie’s actions are divided into 7 pillars of expertise.

It starts with the Community pillar, where we work on preventing the occurrence of abuse and neglect among children through supporting family development.

Second is Street, where we put our efforts on providing education services to children and families who need it the most.

Third is Residential, where we protect, shelter, and care for children by providing them a loving family atmosphere.

The Social Services team ensures each child’s and family’s well-being and development in pillars 1, 2, 3 through street case management, community case management and residential case management.

Our 3 remaining pillars, Health, Education, and Integration are focused on providing holistic support to all children cared through the first 3 pillars.

The last pillar, Advocacy, is our effort on defending and promoting children’s rights.

Since its creation in 1992 by the French social worker Dominique Lemay, Virlanie helped more than 17,000 children in need of special protection through its various programs and services.
