Marivic was born at the National Center for Mental Health because her mother was confined there due to chronic mental illness. Marvic was found to have profound autism and has physical disability then referred to Virlanie. At this time she was 3 years old. Now 17, she has lived in Virlanie’s Jade Home for 14 years. Over the years she has improved significantly, becoming more independent and functional; increasing her ability to do certain daily activities on her own: she able to eat meals and brush her teeth without assistance. She takes pleasure in swimming every week and looks forward to her daily walk.
