Virlanie and AMADE-Mondiale, foundations from France and Monaco, donated seven school buildings containing 14 classrooms complete with facilities, a canteen, restroom, and a stage. After typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) struck the Philippines, Barangay Tiglawigan was the most devastated in Cadiz City.
The French Club of Bacolod (L’Association d’Amitie Franco-Philippine) played host to the Ambassador of France to the Philippines, His Excellency Thierry Mathou.
Monsieur L’Ambassadeur came to visit our province to inaugurate seven school buildings in Barangay Tiglawigan, Cadiz City. These school buildings replaced those devastated by Typhoon Yolanda and were put up by Virlanie Foundation Inc., a foundation established for the purpose of helping street children and disadvantaged children.
French Ambassador Thierry Mathou attended the inauguration of the Tiglawigan Elementary School in Cadiz, Negros Occidental last February 20, 2016.
